Welcome to my website!

I teach philosophy at Texas State University, San Marcos and American Public University System.

I'm interested in improving students' critical thinking skills through argument mapping. To this end, I've worked with a team to develop Argumentation.io and create teaching materials to go with it. I'm increasingly of the mind that using effective educational interventions to strengthen students' rational faculties can tangibly improve people's lives and societies.

I've written about empiricism (particularly Carnap and Quine), social media, and ethical questions about procreation and moral status.
